Wake to stunning mountain views from bed at Gentle Presence Cottages!
The Cottages are free standing offering wonderful mountain views and guest privacy. Cottage 1 is fully equipped for 6 persons on self-catering basis and has been lovingly decorated using a mixture of antiques and modern furnishings to make guests feel cozy and right at home. DSTV and Free WIFI are provided. Parking is off street behind locked gates.
The open plan dining/living area has a fully equipped kitchen with fridge/freezer, stove with oven, and a microwave. There is a guest toilet on the ground level. The lounge has a top quality Sleeper Couch which sleeps 2 comfortably.
Wooden stairs lead upstairs to the 2 bedrooms and 2 adjacent bathrooms with showers over bath. The bedrooms offer queen size beds and have wonderful mountain and garden views. Both have doors onto the balcony and are equipped with heaters, fans, electric blankets, throws, extra blankets, towels, and a hairdryer.
Cottage 2 was originally one of the outer buildings. This Cottage has been renovated with a modern design, whilst preserving the original building. It offers an open plan bedroom and kitchenette for self-catering. An outdoor braai is available for guests with outdoor seating. This Cottage has a Smart TV, Free WIFI, and a walk in shower. Set in the bottom of the garden with stunning mountain and garden views, it is private and offers it’s own entrance with shaded off street parking and sleeps 2.
Gentle Presence Cottages is thought to have been the stables of a larger farm where farmers gathered for Nagmaal (Holy Communion). It has only had 3 owners including the current owners and has been declared a heritage site and has a charming history which we would love to share with you.
