The Gallagher Convention Centre, one of Africa’s largest convention centres and event venues is located in Midrand, Gauteng. Midrand comprises a group of suburbs in the north of Johannesburg, and while it is officially part of the City of Johannesburg municipality, it lies midway between central Joburg and Pretoria. This location makes it popular as it is close to many transport links, especially the freeway connecting Joburg and Pretoria, and there are an increasing number of businesses moving into the area making it a business hub within South Africa’s most affluent city.
The Gallagher Convention Centre is set on a 30 hectare property which comprises a number of charming venues set within the gardens. These pretty venues include the wooden koi deck, the gazebo and the Wine Garden Restaurant. All of which make for lovely wedding ceremony venues. The rose garden also makes for a welcome change of scenery on conference breaks.
More traditional venues include an auditorium, a ballroom and 12 conference and boardrooms of varying sizes to suit your needs. There are also large exhibition halls which consist of 25 000 square metres of exhibition space. The Gallagher Grill Room is a special venue comprising a marble foyer and outdoor deck. The venues can host between 2 and 12 000 people!
Services provided by the Gallagher Convention Centre team include catering, from cocktail bites and buffet delights to multiple-course sit-down meals, dietary requirements taken into consideration, audio-visual and sound support, medical back up and security as well as a business centre offering faxing, copying and internet usage.
The Gallagher Convention Centre has a 5 star rating from the Tourism Grading Council of South Africa.
