Hans Merensky is a luxury-style hotel and spa in Mpumalanga in South Africa. The resort consists of a hotel, spa, golf course and conference venue, all of optimum quality. The Hans Merensky Golf Course is a world renowned course, designed by Bob Grimsdell. It has a peaceful bushveld setting, with extremely well-maintained greens, dotted with trees. The course has 18-holes and at any point during your game it’s possible for game such as giraffe, impala and warthog, for example to wander onto the course and nibble the trees or grass. The bird life is also abundant on the course.
The estate makes for a great wedding venue too, with the option of a sedate but beautiful affair in the hotel’s manicured gardens, or alternatively a slightly wilder event in a bushveld setting on the banks of the Olifants River. The venues can accommodate 100 and 250 guests respectively.
There is also a fully equipped conference centre, with venues that can cater to between 12 and 180 delegates.
Hans Merensky has a spa offering standard treatments as well as a gym, tennis and squash courts. For a bit of adventure you can easily venture into the neighbouring Kruger National Park for a game drive.
