Accommodation near Kayser's Beach
Kayser's Beach, a rural seaside village found 45-kilometers west of East London, was named after John Kayser who was a landowner during the 1880’s. During that time, it has been said that fishermen from surrounding areas would visit the beach with their wives in tow. These women would watch on, perched on rocks as their husbands fished from dawn until dusk.
While the beach remains a fishing hotspot, it has become a major tourist venue for South Africans in search of a relaxing beach getaway.
Despite its growing popularity, the area is home to a mere 697 inhabitants who enjoy Kayser's Beach for its quiet and tranquil setting.
While the town has commercialised over the years and now boasts restaurants, bars, and a small commercial centre, the beach is still a major drawcard for tourists and locals. Bathers swim in the temperate waters of the Indian Ocean while others can simply lie on the beach or play a game of volleyball. The boundless stretches of sand allow for long walks along the coastline, while crystal-clear rock pools make for a great opportunity to explore the diverse marine life.
Kayser's Beach is fringed on either side by rocky outcrops which make for excellent rock climbing for the active beach-goer, or a perfect place to lay down your towel if you don’t want to get covered in sand while tanning.
Find refuge from the midday heat at a beachfront restaurant; order a refreshing beverage accompanied by some fresh seafood while enjoying the picturesque view. If you want to enjoy a family picnic on the beach, fresh produce, meats, and cool drink can be bought at the local convenience store.

Kidds Beach
This was our first visit to this little seaside village, and it won't be our last. Kidds Beach is a hidden gem with pristine beach to the one side and rocky coastline to the other. It feels like you're miles from everywhere, but East London is just minutes down the road. Perfect place for a family seaside holiday.
