Livingstone Hospital is one of the public hospitals in the city of Port Elizabeth, in the Eastern Cape Province of South Africa. The hospital is part of the Port Elizabeth Hospital Complex and is located north west of Port Elizabeth’s central business district. It is in the suburb of Korsten, which lies just to the east of the N2 highway.

In South Africa, a district hospital has 3 primary functions in the community. These are to provide support, in the form of clinical and public health expertise, to health workers (doctors and nurses) in clinics and community health centres.
