The club was formerly used by employees of the Tongaat-Hulett organisation as a recreational facility but has since been established as a golf club for the broader public. Visitors will enjoy the relaxed ambiance of the grounds, where a drink or two can be enjoyed at the newly revamped clubhouse. Additional facilities include a bar, restaurant, a halfway house, and a board room that is used for private events. For players who are unwilling to trek around the course, carts can be hired out for a session.

It is a beautiful area, but it was too busy December. The Granny Pool in Salt Rock was too busy to even have a swim in it. We went to the beach once only at Salt Rock. People braaied in the parking lot and was drinking and made a noise.
