The Maidstone Golf Club boasts a nine-hole course with two tee boxes, a round of golf played here is enjoyed by both the avid golfer and newbies to the sport. These games are played against a majestic backdrop in amongst immaculate fairways and undulating greens.
The club was formerly used by employees of the Tongaat-Hulett organisation as a recreational facility but has since been established as a golf club for the broader public. Visitors will enjoy the relaxed ambiance of the grounds, where a drink or two can be enjoyed at the newly revamped clubhouse. Additional facilities include a bar, restaurant, a halfway house, and a board room that is used for private events. For players who are unwilling to trek around the course, carts can be hired out for a session.
What makes Maidstone Golf Course even more appealing is its close proximity to the seaside town of Ballito. Being located in Tongaat on the north coast of KwaZulu Natal, this quaint town is a stone’s throw away from numerous commercial hubs.

It is a beautiful area, but it was too busy December. The Granny Pool in Salt Rock was too busy to even have a swim in it. We went to the beach once only at Salt Rock. People braaied in the parking lot and was drinking and made a noise.
