Accommodation near Sandy Lane Golf Club - 2
The Sandy Land Golf Club is a popular institution and is situated within the Caribbean Beach Club Estate. You’ll find it in the Kosmos suburb Hartebeespoort, which is just an hour’s drive from both Johannesburg and Pretoria. The golf club boasts a spectacular setting, excellent facilities and is extremely close to many other attractions in the area.
The golf course is a 9-holed course with 18 tees, allowing you to have a full round of golf. It is a parklands course surrounded by trees and gardens, which are home to many birds. The course is sloping which provides a good challenge while also ensuring good drainage, and there are plenty of bunkers too, to add some spice to the game.
The golf course’s position on the banks of the Hartebeespoort Dam means that the view from any point on the course is impressive. This is only enhanced by the presence of the majestic Magaliesberg Mountains in the background. The golf course is accompanied by tennis and squash courts too.
The clubhouse is a favourite socialising spot for the golf club’s (and estate’s) members and visitors. It boasts a halfway house for light meals, a family friendly restaurant for more elaborate dishes and of course, a bar. The clubhouse, like most of the estate, has excellent views of the dam and the surrounding mountains, and the restaurant has a patio which looks out directly over the dam, providing a refreshing, soul-enriching al fresco dining experience.
Sandy Lane Golf Club has a pro shop where you can stock up on your golfing supplies.
Very close to the golf club and estate you will find the De Wildt Cheetah Park, hot air balloon launch sites and the Lesedi Cultural Village among other things, so if you feel like venturing away from the golf world for a few hours, you won’t be disappointed.

Great place, it was our wedding anniversary, so we went rock climbing (Own gear) at the Nuclear Crag on Africaland property, next to Necsa and enjoyed some white water rafting in the afternoon on the Crocodile River with Paddle Power. They also own a cute little restaurant with delicious food where you get off out of the raft, the Rusty Feather. Loads of little shops and found a Wonderful Portuguese restaurant right on the water at the boat club, next to the zoo, which I'll highly recommend. CHEAP Honey, in the town, driving away from the tunnel, after the Portuguese restaurant. It's solidly worth the stop, it's run by a pharmacist and her hubby.

Hartbeespoort is a lovely place to visit to get away from home. There's lot to do and see. Also, they have a lot of restaurants and shops to visit. The best thing is that its not far to travel and you in the bush and away from the concrete jungle.
