Glengariff Logement
Glengariff is a small bit of relatively unspoiled coastal heaven, 30 kilometres north of East London. This little destination is part of the wild coast and is on both the Strandloper Trail and the Jikeleza Route in the Eastern Cape.
Glengariff is a beach that has vast stretches of white sand, beautiful, porous rocks providing endless diversions. You can explore the rock pools or simply sit back and enjoy cooling, fresh sea spray and that ever-soothing sound of waves breaking.
One of the great delights of this special place is that it remains relatively uncrowded during the holiday season and forms a fantastic naturally adventure-filled playground for children. It also has a lagoon which is less-affected by currents, making it safe for all sorts of water activities such as paddling, swimming, body boarding and surfing. Glengariff is also a great beach for fishing.
Nearby is the East London Coastal Nature Reserve which is made up of 10 different nature reserves and 2 inland state forests that stretch across, over 3000 hectares of conservation area. The conservancy lies between the Great Kei River in the north east and the Tylomanqa River in the south west. Furthermore, there is the Lion Park in Beacon Bay and other nearby outdoor activities such as abseiling, hiking, horse riding, kite surfing, scuba diving, mountain biking, quad biking and game viewing.
For an alternative way to visit the town the Wild Coast Meander Hiking Trail is a hike that passes through Glengariff, another is the Strandloper Trail.
