The beach is long enough for some excellent beach walks and the rock pools are interesting to explore. The lagoon on the other hand is nice for paddle-skiing and boating.
Part of the place’s charm is that it is so utterly devoid of amenities. There is one tiny convenience store in the town itself which has very short opening hours, and the only place where you can order a meal is at the Haga Haga Hotel, somewhat of an institution in the area. Just outside of town is another institution – Ninky Noo’s Pub, a basic eatery serving up pub grub and where patrons share the space with a large sheep who has a penchant or beer.
