Villieria Logement
Villieria is a medium-sized suburb in the north of Pretoria, South Africa’s de facto capital. It is surrounded by suburbs like Waverley and Rietfontein and is just to the north east of the city’s central business district. Its location is a major draw card and one of the main reasons people may choose to base themselves there. It is within an easy distance of the N1, which connects Johannesburg and Pretoria, and is a mere stone’s throw from the centre of Pretoria.
Villieria is one of Pretoria’s older and therefore better established suburbs. It is characterised by wide streets, large properties and well-maintained, single story houses complete with pretty gardens. In short, in Villieria you get a shot of homely suburbia, and its quieter ambience, while still being able to access the buzzing CBD when either work calls or the mood takes you. Villieria is a great choice for both business and leisure travellers.
Nearby attractions in the city centre include the impressive Union Buildings, built of sandstone, as well as numerous other monuments. The Loftus Versveld Stadium is just a little bit further south of the CBD, while Hatfield, Pretoria’s nightlife centre is located just to the east of the CBD. There you will find myriad bars and restaurants as well as a number of clubs. During the day the square is a great place to enjoy a coffee or light lunch while you soak up the Pretoria sunshine.
For a more nature-centric experience, the Wonderboom Nature Reserve and its 1000 year old wild fig tree is to be found just beyond Rietfontein (to the north of Villieria).
