Cape Town Electronic Music Festival 2016
The fifth annual Cape Town Electronic Music Festival will be taking place from 5 - 7 February 2016.
With a wide-ranging three-day programme of workshops by industry professionals, showcases and satellite events, the Cape Town Electronic Music Festival (CTEMF) provides a platform for the burgeoning electronic music culture and industry in South Africa.
The purpose of the workshops is the exchange of knowledge and contribution by industry leaders towards a healthy music industry from town to township and to open up the possibility of opportunity for all those who want to make a positive change in the industry.
The performance line-up includes big-names and international pioneers and local innovators in the electronic music scene, as well as up and coming acts, and will include hip hop, deep house, live electronics, drum & bass and more.
Top-performing artists to feature at this year's event include the following:
• Detroit techno stalwart Rolando
• French DJ/producer Chloé lauded for melding art and music
• Berlin's Ralf Kollmann, head honcho of powerhouse imprint Mobilee
• Critically acclaimed SA-raised Petite Noir returns to his home stage to perform
• Aero Manyelo will administer a dose of Pretoria’s house sound.
Key companies, government bodies and brands come together to bring CTEMF's vision to fruition, making for a very successful 2015 event which will no doubt be even bigger and better in 2016.
