Cape Town Flower Show 2016
The Cape Town Flower Show make its annual return to the Mother City from 27-30 October 2016. The three-day event will take place at the Castle of Good Hope and brings different entities of the gardening culture together.
The visions of the show are to make the event the biggest and the most prestigious flower and gardening exhibition in Africa and to continue with its legacy of having one of the most unique floral kingdoms in the world.
Budding horticulturalists and expert gardeners will be privy to displays that showcase a wide range of materials - which includes anything from beautiful spaces, vertical gardens, ideas on urban landscaping and permaculture, garden decorating, outdoor living solutions, and much more! Not only does the show bring you up to speed with the innovative gardening projects, but provides you with informative DIY tidbits and know-how solutions.
Attendees who are looking to engage in discussions about green issues and finding permeable solutions to conservation matters, will have the opportunity to do so with a team of experts. A wide range of topics is up for debate, including sustainability, recycling and the need to conserve communities, urban gardening and cities feeding themselves.
Attendees can look forward to 23 show gardens which are the innovative handiworks of South Africa's top landscapers, over 100 exhibitors who will be displaying and giving demonstrations on the best horticultural and garden products.
There will also be daily workshops informing the public on a myriad of gardening-related subjects, including bee-keeping, vegetable gardens and biodiversity. For children who've got green fingers, there will be numerous kid-friendly demonstrations as well.
There will also be cooking demonstrations for those who are looking for new ways to make food with vegetables from the garden.
Come on along for a day of fun and a whole lot of learning!
