Affectionately dubbed as 'Africa's grandest gathering', Cape Town International Jazz Festival is considered the largest, most renowned music festival in Sub-Saharan Africa attracting over 38 000 jazz lovers worldwide. The annually held event, features acclaimed national and international jazz performers who come together for the love of the genre.
The festival annually boasts 5 stages with more than 40 artists performing over 2 nights. The festival hosts in excess of 37, 000 music lovers over the 2 show days. The Cape Town International Jazz Festival will be held on the 23rd & 24th March 2018.
Not solely focused on the music, the CTIJF strives to sustain the growth of the entertainment industry as a whole through its focus on training and development works of which are fundamental to up-and-coming and established artists. Furthermore, Outreach programmes encompass school-goers drawn from selected arts and culture focus schools, to professional journalists and photographers, granting them greater insight with which to expand their careers.
