Cape Town Street Food Festival 2018 - 9
The Annual Street Food Festival pays homage to our food culture by dishing up authentic South African street foods pavement-style.
On a stick or in a bun, the annual Street Food Festival is back for a 5th time in 2018 to celebrate street food in its varied forms. The festival takes place at the Cape Town Cruise Terminal, V&A Waterfront on the 1st September 2018 from 5pm till 9pm and on the 2nd September 2018 from 11am till 5pm.
Following the success of previous years, in 2018 the Street Food Festival will be expanding to include 10 days of festivities. Smaller pop-up events like food walks, and food movie screenings will lead up to the two big market weekends in Cape Town and Johannesburg dishing up all the good things visitors have come to expect: Local food talent serving your crispy, saucy, fried or fresh pavement-favourites and live DJ’s spinning the soundtrack to the day.
As always there’ll be an unmissable line-up of crate talks by local food entrepreneurs and this year the Street Food Festival launches SFF Loves: An initiative which will identify a different cause each year to support.
