Design Indaba Festival 2015
The Design Indaba celebrates African design and creativity and has put Cape Town on the world map as an international hotbed of innovation. This year's installment is kicking off on February 20th 2015 at the Labia and runs through till 1 March 2015.
The festival began in 1995, built on the belief that creativity will fuel an economic revolution in South Africa, and with the aim of focussing on solutions that are tailor-made to conditions in Africa.
It is the only creative platform that welcomes all aspects of creativity and provides creators with a platform to showcase their designs. It is a truly multidisciplinary experience – it includes a conference, simulcast, expo, film festival and music fair.
This year the festival programme includes:
Design Indaba FilmFest at the Labia
20 Feb to 1 March
A cinematic festival showcasing a first-rate assortment of design-orientated films at the historic Cape Town cinema
