Festival in the Valley 2015 - 8
The Festival in the Valley in Franschhoek sets off the festive season celebrations in the most scenic of ways. Kill a couple of birds with one stone by getting some of your xmas shopping done while enjoying wines from the exquisitve Franschoek wine valley and indulging in gourmet foods.
The festival is taking place from 27 November to 29 November 2015 at la Paris in the Franschhoek Valley. The venue makes for a beautiful festival setting with its manicured lawns, regal manor house and breath taking views of the mountain.
Aside from the shopping, wine and food (as if you needed more!), there is an incredible entertainment offering for the whole family including fire dancers, silk performers, stilt walkers, jumping castles, a live band and much more. Parents can unwind at one of the picnic tables with a glass of wine or two, while the kids take in the sights. Younger children are also catered for with face painting, jumping castles, water slides, meet Santa and an outdoor movie.
The artisan food market will have a vast array of tastes on offer, and there will be a pop up day spa by Eternal Child at the festival. Eat, drink and be merry while you lounge away the day with live music playing in the background.
Your visit will be accompanied by some of the biggest artists from South Africa and you can expect daily performances by Gareth James, Jacques Terre’Blanche, Caitlin DeVille and a special performance by Wild Lettuce on Friday evening.
