Fish Out Feast 2015
To commemorate the end of its fly fishing season, Eikendal Vineyards will host their inaugural 'Fish Out Feast'. The event takes place on the 8th November 2015 in Stellenbosch.
Certainly a unique way to spend an afternoon out with the family, the event invites both experienced anglers and novices to spend a day out at the water's edge, while hopefully reeling in a whopper or two. If you're wanting to learn more about the sport or ways to better your technique, fly fishing operations manager Philip Meyer will be sharing handy tips and expert advice.
Following a fine morning of fishing, guests will be treated to a languid fish braai amidst the sprawling lawns of the estate, while enjoying a live music performance by popular band, Newton& Co. To complement the taste of fresh trout, visitors will receive a complimentary glass of the newly released Sauvignon Blanc 2015 with their lunch.
Not only can you brush up on your fly fishing knowledge, but a trip to the Eikendal Wine Estate allows visitors to learn more about the wines at the tasting centre.
Please note that interested parties must bring their own rods, and all trout caught during the day can be bought at a price of R110 per kilogram. Tickets are limited and pre-booking is compulsory, so book now to avoid any disappointments.
