Ghaap River Extreme 2017
The much anticipated Ghaap River Xtreme is soon to return to Douglas, in the Northern Cape near Kimberley from 27-29 October 2017 at the Broadwater River Estate.
This three-day affair is geared toward the thrill seekers and outdoorsmen, where you can look forward to great weather, company and most importantly, fun! Activities over the weekend include the likes of wake-boarding, barefoot ski, speed boat demonstrations, swimming across the Vaal river, the Volleyball Xtreme Challenge, helicopter rides, paintball and more.
Last year saw the addition of an incredible event, where participants competed against one another for the Guiness Book of Records for the biggest green raft race in Africa. Furthermore, there were opportunities for kids to get in on the competition, with events like Miss Xtreme and Little Miss Waterbarbie.
Apart from competitions and performances, visitors can also peruse the stalls and exhibitions or enjoy the Landzicht wine, honey and nuts tasting. There is also a kiddies entertainment area to ensure that the children in attendance have as much fun as the adults do.
The festival well run from 8am to 6pm daily.
