The Good Food & Wine Show Cape Town 2017
Eagerly anticipated by lovers of fine food, vino enthusiasts and all-round good-life devotees, the annual Good Food and Wine Show showcases top South African and international chefs, restaurants, wines and cutting-edge trends in haute cuisine. A wealth of interactive displays and demonstrations are offered, from exclusive private cooking lessons with top-notch chefs to exhibitions from prestigious boutique wine-houses
The Cape Town edition takes place from 2 to 4 June 2017 at it's usual haunt, the CTICC.
From celebrity chef cooking demonstrations to food and wine tastings and kids’ workshops there is something in store for everyone. In addition to workshops and ‘theatres’, there is a large exhibition space where you can peruse and buy the latest cooking gadgets and gourmet ingredients while expanding on your foodie knowledge with the experts.
Each year the celebrity chef line-up involves a number of well-known cooking names demonstrating their signatures dishes and talking you through the process. The 2015 show saw appearances by by Buddy 'Cake Boss' Valastro and Matt Preston. Buddy demonstrated to budding bakers that mixing eggs, sugar, butter and flour means a lot more than simply 'making a cake.' Award-winning food writer and chef, Matt Preston cooked up a storm for local audiences, inspiring food fundies with his masterful cooking skills
This years event will also feature the biggest elephant cake in the world! So dont miss out on a slice of the action!
As usual there are various ticket options that will available closer to the time from Computicket or at the door. The tickets include entry into the exhibition area, filled as it is with food tasters, free theatres and gadget demonstrations. Some of the more high-profile theatres however, such as the celebrity chefs’ theatre requires you purchase a separate ticket.
