Hermanus FynArts 2017
Hermanus has established itself as an art's epicentre with its hosting of the Hermanus Fynarts Festival. This all-encompassing arts festival takes place from 9 -18 June 2017 and includes a myriad of visual arts displays, literature workshops, music recitals and award-winning food and wine.
Hosted in various venues around Hermanus, visitors can expect a hub of stimulating art exhibitions, featuring painting, sculpture, ceramics and photography. Whether you’re interested in art, philosophy, classic music or cooking, there is something at the Hermanus Fynarts festival to get your creative juices flowing.
Here vino-lovers will experience a novel wine tutoring experience, where wine is not merely sampled, but stories about the love and passions for wine are shared between aficionados and knowledgeable experts.
To keep the kids busy, various science and art-related activities will be hosted by the SA National Space Centre. Alternatively, the whole family can enjoy viewings of vintage Hollywood flicks and local productions
For the more active visitor, there are also guided walking and hiking tours of the Fernkloof Nature Reserve during the festival period.
Tuk-tuk services will be running regularly throughout the town to encourage responsible drinking.
