Hobby-X Cape Town 2016
Hobby-X, South Africa's leading hobby and crafts expo, makes its return to the shores of Cape Town from 7 - 9 October 2016. Each year, a wide spectrum of materials, equipment, supplies and ideas are showcased to the general public, encouraging South Africans to take up a creative craft or hobby.
Hobby-X was initially launched in 1998 and has grown exponentially over the past eighteen years. It is now a highly popular event, attracting tens of thousands of visitors to each show. Professional hobbyists on the prowl for creative innovation come from all over South Africa in search of materials, supplies, equipment, ideas and techniques. The idea to bring about such a show was inspired by our busy, fast-paced lifestyles, and how for many of us, we don't grant ourselves that necessary 'me-time'. At Hobby-X, a range of activities are put on display, catering to all sorts of interests and preferences. Whether you're looking for an 'on-the-side' business idea or looking for fun stuff to do with the whole family, there is something in store for everyone at Hobby-X.
Attendees are encouraged to explore their creative side with glass-blowing or indulge in food making with some cooking lessons. Alternatively, peruse the many stalls for gems, books, mosaics, metal clays, model cars, planes and trains, cooking, card making and so much more. Alternatively, if you're looking for some fun, stock up the house with some games, bungee trampolines and radio-controlled models. Those who are interested in learning more about their chosen craft can attend a range of workshops and demonstrations by knowledgeable experts
Come on along for three days of fun and get inspired to take up a hobby!
