International Day of Yoga 2019
International Day of Yoga (21st June) is a globally recognized event, unanimously declared in 2015 by the United Nations General Assembly.
Yoga Works would like to invite Johannesburg to come together on Saturday 22nd June 2019 and spend a day sharing the passion and practice of yoga.
This event is FREE and open to anyone who is interested in starting their yoga practice as well as regular yogis.
On the day, there will be several group yoga sessions and workshops that will be accessible to everyone of all levels.
You can support the event by doing the ‘108 Sun Salutation Challenge’ (Donation of R108.00) to sponsor yourself or someone else to participate.
As we celebrate Youth Day on the 16th June in South Africa, there will be a full children’s yoga program. There will also be vendors offering healthy food/drink options, yoga services, and yoga clothing/props.
This event will be held at Bidvest Wanderers Stadium, Corlett Drive, Johannesburg.
All proceeds of this event will be donated to a charity. Our beneficiary this year is Dlala Nje, providing a community centre with yoga and other activities to disadvantaged youth in Hillbrow.
Brought to you by Multiply, Lenovo, Bidvest Wanderers Stadium, Wanderers Sports and Medical Centre and Yoga Works
