The Sasfin Plett Wine and Bubbly Festival 2016
Following its success in recent years, The Sasfin Wine and Bubbly Festival is back to celebrate the region's finest selection of wine and bubbly. The event will take place on Saturday 8 October to Sunday 9 October 2016 at the Plettenberg Central Beach.
Visitors can exchange with winemakers, sample local wines and bubbly and indulge in gourmet foods prepared by Plettenberg Bay's top restaurant at the event's main attraction, The Grand Tasting. Located in close proximity to the beach, visitors will also be granted the rare opportunity to sip and swirl wine varietals while enjoying oceanic views. This year, we introduce the new Wine Theatre with a series of guest speakers in a small, intimate theatre for those of you wanting a wine aficionado experience.
The festival was founded in November 2013 when local wine estate owners endorsed a Plett Tourism plan to develop a unique, wine and bubbly centred experience stretching from Harkerville to the Crags.
The Plett Winelands consists of 16 wine farms. More than 30 different wines from 10 of the farms can be experienced; Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Méthode Cap Classique varieties.
Tickets to the festival are R200 for a day pass and R350 for a weekend pass. All tickets include 10 wine tasting coupons, R20 discount on a bottle of wine and commemorative glass. Additional wine coupons and food is available for purchase during the festival.
The festival opens at 1 pm til 8 pm on 9th October; and 12 pm - 8 pm on the 10th October.
