River Republic 2017
It’s that time of the year again when Western Cape residents take advantage of the Summer sun through an array of outdoor festivals. While many a reveller enjoys one-day festivals out by the riverside, for city dwellers, the fun stops there. If you’re looking for a non-stop weekend of sun-basking and music listening, breakaway from city life with the River Republic Festival. The event takes place from the 24-26 November 2017 on the Breede River in Swellendam.
While River Republic has been dubbed a mini-music festival – small when compared to other major happenings in the Western Cape, the event is jam-packed hub with festivities. Festival-goers are urged to bring their cozzies and miscellaneous floatation devices to swim along the Breede River in.
To line the stomach or merely bust a hunger pang, there are numerous food stalls selling a selection of goods. The on-site cash bar will keep you liquated for many happy hours.
With regards to the music scene, you’re in luck - from the electro-beats to the sounds of an electric guitar of the musicians and DJs, you’ll be partying the night away. With 20 acts due to appear on stage, the performances are intimate affairs that allow for much audience participation.
