Watersport enthusiasts from South Africa and the world annually flock to Cape Town, to compete in South Africa’s most forefront kiteboarding event - the Robben Island Classic. The ever-popular event takes place on 16 December 2015 at Dolphin Beach.
Top international and national Kiteboarders, Windsurfers and SUP's compete for top race titles and prizes with up and coming amateurs vying for a win in their own category.
The Mother City, with its blue skies and strong winds during the summer season, is the ideal spot for an end-of-year kite boarding event. International professional kiteboarders and windsurfers make Cape Town “pilgrimage” every year to rest, play and train for the next international season.

The Classic starts near Dolphin Beach, along Bloubergstrand coastline, before finishing finally in Big Bay.
