Robertson Slow Food & Wine Festival 2016
Last year saw 26 Wineries and Guesthouses from Ashton, Bonnievale, McGregor and Robertson warmly welcoming visitors into their homes, to their dining tables and onto their farms for a food and wine experience - enjoyed and savoured SLOWLY.
Guests can look forward to home-style, traditional dinners, with country fare that includes the likes of Waterblommetjie Bredie", "melktert", venison and Karoo Lamb. As always, wine is the main attraction of the event, where you'll have the opportunity to meet the experts and discuss their wines.
The weekend includes a jam-packed lineup of unique activities, such as learning the art of mixology using wine as an ingredient as well as various wine pairings with cookies, charcuterie, chocolate and more! For family-friendly, outdoor activities, individuals can go on boat cruises, Fynbos 4x4 trips and a guided hiking trail.
This weekend is definitely a must for the wine lover who prefers to take the slower lane.
