SA On Tap Craft Beer Festival Johannesburg 2016
SA On Top, South Africa's biggest craft beer and music festival makes its return to Johannesburg on 9 April 2016 at Montecasino.
This one-day-only festival introduces enthusiasts to the art of brew as South Africa's top brewmaster's come together to educate the broader public about a diverse range of premium, handcrafted drinks. Not only will you leave the event feeling all the more knowledgeable, but you'll be able to sample over 180 of the country's finest brews, ciders, whiskeys and wines from 30 of our nation's best brewers.
To add to the experience, there will be a wide spectrum of food trucks offering gourmet grub to pair your brews with. If you're the designated driver for the night, you'll be catered for with a selection of non-alcoholic drinks.
There will also be a myriad of activities to keep the entire family entertained. Music lovers can look forward to some live performances happening throughout the day, where the likes of Gangs of Ballet, Shaun Jacobs Band and December Streets will be gracing the stage.
If you're a parent who's looking to sample the brews without your kids tagging along, drop them off at the children's entertainment area. Here they'll be looked after by a team of dedicated childminders, allowing you to put your mind at ease while savouring the finest brews on offer.
Some of the breweries participating in the event include:
Notties Draught
Mtunzini Brewery
Copperlake Breweries
Brauhaus
Clarens Brewery
Everson's Cider
Brew Hogs
Time Anchor
The gates open to the public at 10 am and close at 6pm. Whether you're a home brewer in the making or simply an appreciator of South African brews, this is a not-to-be-missed event.
