The Soweto Art and Craft Fair takes place in the vibey hub of Soweto and gives artists and crafters an opportunity to exhibit and market their works and arts and crafts enthusiasts an opportunity to discover talented new artists.
The next fair is taking place on December 6th, 2015 at the cultural heartbeat of Jabulani Soweto, the Soweto Theatre. The theatre is dedicated to the arts and to giving the local community an opportunity for artistic expression.
The Soweto Art and Craft Fair is a non-profit initiative aimed at providing a platform for local artists, designers and performers.It is a wonderful place to meet artists of all kinds, young and old, all of whom, create their products by hand.
The fair is an intimate gathering, which is growing in popularity since it's inception early in 2014.
In addition to the art works, crafts, fashion and jewellery on offer, visitors will be able to enjoy an array of traditional entertainment from gumboot dancers to live music.
