The Grind 03 at the Track 2016
The Grind at the Track brings a variety of exciting Obstacle Course Races to the Western Cape which include outdoor muddy obstacle races and indoor events which bring a new twist on Obstacle Course Racing. The Grind is the first company in South Africa to offer this type of short course and they scout out unique venues at which to host these obstacle course races.
The final event of the year will take place on 3rd December 2016 at Zone 7 - Africa's biggest and best Motocross and Enduro motorcycle track and the day will end off with a huge year end party that will continue well into the night.
The Grind at the Track is for everyone, from corporate fun seekers to fitness enthusiasts and elite athletes. For the not so fit, there is a course called The Rapid Grind, which is 6km with 20 to 30 Obstacles and for the those keen on a tougher course, The Deep Grind offers a 12km course with 30 to 40 Obstacles.
There will be plenty of entertainment during the day and there will be a live band in the evening to kick the holidays off with a bang. There are also plenty of prizes to be won with the biggest prize packages for all classes totalling R52000.00.
About the Courses:
The Rapid Grind 6km: 20 to 30 obstacles over an easier course but still challenging. Perfect for first timers, this is a great introduction to Obstacle Course Racing. This course is suited to corporates and people with very basic fitness levels.
The Deep Grind 12km: 30 to 40 obstacles over a reasonably flat trail through thick sand and multiple mud pits.
The Deep Grind Elite 8km: 30 to 40 obstacles over a reasonably flat trail through thick sand and multiple mud pits.
The Deep Grind 12km and Elite will loop off of the 5km course and both include an interesting mix of sand, mud, rolling Motocross hills and some very difficult obstacles.
The Little G 1km: 10 obstacle whippersnapper course to keep the kids entertained and hopefully get them hooked on The Grind (this will be the best Kids Obstacle course Race in the country)
