The Winter Sculpture Fair 2016

If you are passionate about gourmet food, fine wine and impressive artwork displays, then you'd best not miss out on a day in the countryside with the annual Winter Sculpture Fair, from 7-8 May 2016. Taking place at the Nirox Sculpture Park, a venue not ordinarily opened up to the public, guests can look forward to an unforgettable experience of fine dining and magical, larger-than-life sculptures.

Artlogic, in association with Franschhoek Tourism, dedicated themselves to creating an event that would get locals out into the fresh air while appreciating the finer things in life. Discerning foodies and vino-lovers can look forward to delectable cuisine and fine wines coming straight from the Cape Winelands. The Franschhoek Valley's top chefs and producers will be brought to Gauteng and treat guests to an unparalleled culinary experience.

Along with the great food and wine, art appreciators can make their way through the park and have a look at the colossal statues that have been put on display. This year's showcase, entitled 'A Place in Time', will see a collaboration with the Yorkshire Sculpture Park. Perusers can enjoy marvelling at an array of local and international  works of art. The exhibition was curated by Helen Pheby and Mary-Jane Darroll and celebrates South Africa as an exciting contemporary art destination. 40 new sculptures will be featured, created by artists from South Africa, Europe and the USA.

If you're looking for a fusion of the finer things in life, then don't miss out on the Winter Sculpture Fair 2016. Please note that while tickets are available at the door, they are limited, so book your tickets now to avoid disappointment.
