Wrenrose Court First Annual Christmas Market - 10
Wrenrose Court is situated in the heart of Birdhaven, surrounded by the beautiful suburbs of Illovo, Melrose, Melrose North, and right next to the Wanderers Club and the stunning James and Ethel Gray Park! We want to start a new annual tradition, and as such Wrenrose Court will be holding their first Christmas Market on Wednesday 5th December 2018 from 5-9pm. The market will be a combined effort of the tenants in Wrenrose Court and the hub of the activities will be brought together in the Courtyard of Arbour Café and the interleading passage ways with a variety of different food, drinks and gifts! Voodoo Lily Café will also be open, serving their delicious wholesome meals. As a special Christmas treat, we have organised a small wine tasting event, where we have invited a couple of select winemakers whose wines you can sample. If you like what you taste, you will be able to purchase the wine at very reasonable retail prices.
The line-up of what can be expected this year is award winning artist Vuma Levin, part of 3 piece band to lighten the atmosphere and create festive cheer! Wrenrose Court has partnered with Sandton SPCA in order to not only raise awareness of the amazing work they do but since this is the season of giving, what better way than to help raise money for them as an organisation. Some of the highlights that make this Christmas Market different include a Fashion Show where some of the SPCA volunteers will be showing off some cute and gorgeous animals. A raffle ticket will be part of the evening’s proceedings and all tickets sales will go towards the Sandton SPCA. General Manager of Sandton SPCA, Jaco Pieterse said during one of the meetings: ‘We are excited about the idea of partnering with such a great venture.’ The fashion show participants will be dressed up by the members of the tenants to really show off what Wrenrose Court has to offer this season.
For adults they will be able to enjoy champagne, wine, coffee, great food, including sushi, live music, buying Sandton SPCA merchandise, shopping at the different stores for Christmas, the fashion show and for kids taking pictures with Father Christmas, face painting, and live music with Christmas carols, recreating nostalgia! The proceeds of the raffle tickets and 50% of the face painting will be going to the Sandton SPCA! The market is set to run from 5pm to about 9pm, the fashion show to be held at around 7pm and the first 50 people to arrive at the market will get a free glass of wine!
