Situated on the mountainside in Fish Hoek, this establishment offers self-catering accommodation in three different units: A Place in Thyme cottage (sleeps 5); Big Thyme (sleeps 3) and Small Thyme (sleeps 2). Children 14 years and older are welcome.
A Place in Thyme cottage comprises two comfortable bedrooms (sleeping five in two queen-size beds and a single). All bedding and towels are supplied. There are two bathrooms: one with shower, the other with bath. The open-plan kitchen is fully equipped with dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer and leads outside to a paved area with wash line and portable barbecue (braai). The lounge is equipped with satellite TV and DVD player. Free wi-fi. Double doors lead from the dining room onto a patio, which overlooks a deck and swimming pool. The swimming pool is for the exclusive use of guests in the cottage.
Big Thyme is a studio apartment, which sleeps 3 in a queen-size bed and a sleeper couch. An en-suite bathroom, kitchenette with two-plate hob, microwave, bar fridge, toaster and kettle, free wi-fi and Netflix complete the facilities.
Small Thyme is a studio apartment, which sleeps 2 in a queen-size bed. An en-suite bathroom, kitchenette with two-plate hob, microwave, bar fridge, toaster and kettle, free wi-fi and Netflix complete the facilities.
Inverters have been installed so that guests may watch television and have wifi during power outages.
A five-minute drive takes you to Fish Hoek beach, which is ideal for swimming, long beach walks and whale watching (in season). For the more active there are golf courses in nearby Clovelly and Simons town, surfing, boogie boarding, sailing, horse riding, hiking and walking trails. A Place in Thyme is about 40 minutes drive from Cape Town city centre and about 45 minutes from Cape Town International Airport.
