Get closer to nature and discover the haunting beauty of Namaqualand by staying in a tent. Not just any old tent, but a unique, top-class tented bush camp. Agama Tented Camp is situated on 8000ha of prime Namaqualand soil and invites you to experience this drought-ravaged Wilderness both in and out of its world-renowned floral season.
Agama Tented Camp is a bush camp, skilfully hidden in a secluded Kloof. It does not intrude into the world of the wild, it is part of it. Here up to 14 guests at a time can relax, unwind and totally enjoy the refreshing experience of becoming part of the bush.
Seven tents make up Agama Tented Camp. Each is raised 1,5m above ground on wooden stilts, to provide a vantage point for viewing without taking visitors out of the environment. Each tent has a spacious deck with wide, comfortable wooden chairs designed for relaxing and enjoying everything from an early morning coffee, to recharging your jaded soul while appreciating unsurpassed views across a splendid valley.
The luxury tented accommodation all have their own rustic bathroom with shower, basin and eco-friendly toilet. All linen and towels are provided.
Agama Tented Camp boasts a traditional 'kookskerm' (boma) made out of local bushes, where visitors can enjoy local dishes and experience the tranquility which the Namaqualand nights offer.
Whilst visiting the camp, visitors can enjoy scenic drives from the back of a viewing vehicle, as well as a sundowner trip with views second to none. There is a host of small game on the farm including Springbok, Steenbok, Duiker, Meerkat, Rooikat and an abundance of bird and reptile life.

What an absolute gem in the middle of the Northern Cape!
Everything from the service to dinner to the only piece of green lawn in the whole of the Karoo was a refreshing peace haven!
