Escape the city bedlam and experience the tranquility of nature ...... Barn Guesthouse originated from a "sheep-kraal" on the farm Smaldeel, situated on the N1, 24km south of Kroonstad. The agricultural activities on the farm includes the cultivation of maize, sunflower and wheat as well as the production of cattle and sheep.
We offer 5 luxurious outside bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms. Each room can enjoy the relaxing atmosphere of a the garden. Each room is equipped with - air-conditioning, bar fridge, hairdryer, TV (M-Net, 2 movie magics and 2 sport channels), shower/bath, toiletries, electric blankets, tea/coffee/fresh rusks, towels and magazines.

Barn Guesthouse also have other facilities like - private entrance, covered parking, private garden, pet friendly, ice facilities, ironing, stove facilities, microwave, fridge, tumble dryer, washing facilities, indoor braai as well as outdoor braai facilities. An old dairy has been converted into an indoor braai which is ideal for private functions and conferences.

Aljo was a friendly host. The accommodation was all that we could have hoped for and to be able to have our dog was us was an added bonus.

This is a lovely farm, and very convenient for an overnight stay. Friendly attention from the owner. The room was OK, the bathroom very small and cramped. Over priced for what is on offer, but can recommend the venue.

The guest house is right next to the N1 and I was worried about the noise of the trucks at night but we never heard them at all. The dinner & breakfast we order in advance were fantastic and absolute value for money! I would recommend the Barn for an overnight stop with delicious food!
