Available for your exclusive use, Barry House on Riverton horse stud farm is ideal for a large group of friends or family. It has six bedrooms that can accommodate 12 guests (max 14). The 4 en-suite bedrooms have climate control and the 2 children bedrooms that share a shower have a fan and eco panel heaters.
Enjoy a slice of idyllic country life to celebrate intimate family or social gatherings and special occasions in this graceful farm house. Wood for the outdoor braai which has ample seating is included and the dining room table can seat 12 (max 14).
Foaling season is mid-August to mid-November and many guests have been fortunate to witness a foal being born. Go wine tasting on the neighbouring wine estates, sample the delights of Robertson's fine restaurants and shops or relax under the fans on the long veranda and drink in the stunning view of the horse paddocks. A leisurely stroll around the farm or bring your rods for a spot of fishing or swim in the Breede River - sure to restore your soul.
Fine percale white linen encased duvets, double stacked hypoallergenic pillows, comforter or soft blankets, fluffy white bath sheets, coffee & tea making facilities, jug of filtered drinking water, mosquito/fly/insect prevention mesh covering at least one window in the bedroom.
Enjoy a cup of tea in the Victorian gazebo of the large English country garden filled with the scent of roses whilst the children enjoy the jungle gym. There is ample safe parking available in the shade of the old Algerian oak trees in front of Barry House. Stays include free unlimited WIFI.
An inverter and batteries will keep the TV, WiFi, fridges, microwave, the cooling ceiling fans on the veranda and some of the lights on during loadshedding (power outages). The BBQ has a powerful solar light and there is a whistling kettle on the gas hob for a cuppa.
