The Blue Roan has 7 fully equipped PET FRIENDLY self catering units designed for couples wanting a romantic breakaway, each with jacuzzi bath, inside log fireplace, patio, braai, DSTV and dvd players. The units have been creatively designed from the original farmhouse and barns to create modern and original experiences. 4 units have themes, such as Mexican, Tuscan, Barn and Greek and each is private. The setting is rolling lawns and Gardens with stunning panoramic views of the Magaliesberg mountains from the private patios each of which has a built-in braai.
This is the ideal place for a romantic breakaway, where peace and tranquility are of the utmost importance - for this reason, we do not allow children or groups. We are pet and horse friendly by arrangement.
The luxurious units are very spacious with tv, dvd players, fireplace and fully equipped kitchenette. All units have jacuzzi baths and showers and electric blankets. We invite you to make use of the main house and sit on wooden decks and which overlook rolling green lawns, peaceful horse paddocks and the beautiful Magaliesburg mountains, or sit in the spacious lapa by a stunning rock swimming pool and watch the abundant bird life. Or just shoot some pool in the bar.
There is plenty to do in the area and we are easy to find just 8kms from the town of Magaliesburg on a tar road. Plenty of restaurants nearby if you don't feel like cooking.
If you don't want to sacrifice luxury for a stay in the country, then this is the place for you.

Fun relaxing weekend. The themed style cottages was quirky, and fun!
Our hostess Judy was there to welcome us, giving a brief explanation about where is what.
There was a general cleaner enquiring if the build in braai needed cleaning, which we appreciated, as we know the cleaning team isn't on the premises 24/7.
The only downside was unfortunately the flies. Understanding we are in a farm setting. I do wish they can spray some " anti-fly" substance around the units
