Overview

BONAMANZI ADVENTURES RIVER LODGE
Situated on the Breede River, less than 90 minutes from Cape Town, lies the idyllic Bonamanzi Adventures. Set on 38 hectares, with 1km of river frontage, this private group getaway is a family and friends adventure in the making. Our easy going venue is built to handle the numbers, so if you’re after
a destination where you want to include everyone, you’d go a long way to beat Bonamanzi.

As far as activities go, the river is the primary focus here. Swim, fish, canoe or take a stroll down to the river’s edge and do a spot of birding. Late nights at the fire, river rafting and wine tasting or simply just relaxing, we are central to all that the Breede Valley has to offer.

VENUE
The lodge itself is set back from the river and fronted by a large expanse of terraced lawn that leads down to the water’s edge. The entertainment area and bar offer a great indoor and outdoor flow to the large sun deck, overlooking the pool, river and lawns.

The living space is made up of an expansive room, with exposed timber beams, the sweet smell of thatch, simple cement screed floors, large dining tables and some sofas. The open-plan and fully equipped kitchen makes up the far end of the living area and includes everything you’ll need for a weekend of self-catering. If the washing up seems like anything but a holiday, we do offer a daily cleaning service that can be arranged prior to your arrival

ACCOMMODATION
Our rustic yet comfortable accommodation offers the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of city life. Sleeping wise, the lodge is split into two levels, with an outdoor staircase leading to the downstairs level from the deck. Upstairs you’ve got three twin rooms, all ensuite. Basic bedding is provided for these rooms, but you’ll need to bring your own towels.

Heading downstairs you’ve got two spacious dorm rooms, with a third smaller dorm room, all side by side. These dorm rooms share communal bathrooms (men's and ladies). Walking around to the other side of the lodge, we have two budget rooms with a shared separate bathroom. Take note: You’ll need to bring your own bedding and towels for all downstairs accommodation.

• Three double ensuite rooms (2 x single beds in each)
• Basic bedding is supplied for these three bedrooms
• All guests to supply own towels

Downstairs
• Dormitory Room 1: triple bunk beds x 7
• Dormitory Room 2: triple bunk beds x 8
• Dormitory Room 3: sleeps 8 guests (2 x single beds & 3 x bunk beds)
• Guests will need to supply their own bedding for downstairs (sleeping bag/sheet/pillow) and towels
• Guests staying downstairs make use of the separate communal bathrooms (male & female)

Budget Rooms
• Two basic rooms (2 x single beds in each)
• Separate shared bathroom
• Guests will need to supply their own bedding for the budget rooms (sleeping bag/sheet/pillow) and towels

Camping
• Pitch your own tents on our large, spacious lawns
• Canvas tents are available for hire @R250 per day, including mattresses (maximum of 3 per tent)
• Hired tents will be pitched and ready on arrival
• Campers will need to supply their own bedding (sleeping bag/sheet/pillow)
• All guests to supply own towels
• Campers make use of the separate communal bathrooms (male & female)
