Overview
With one of the most celebrated views in the Cape, Clouds Estate is an undiscovered gem in the heart of the Stellenbosch and Franschhoek Winelands. Situated at the top of the Helshoogte Pass, this unique 4.5 hectare estate overlooks the beautiful Banhoek Valley, edged by the majestic Drakenstein with Simonsberg taking pride of place in the foreground.
The modern hotel features seven beautifully appointed spacious bedrooms, all with en-suite bathrooms and large patios. Furniture has been carefully selected to create a comfortable yet cutting-edge feel.
In addition, we offer 4x 1-bedroom villas with magnificent views, each with a king size bedroom, bathroom, lounge with a double sleeper couch & air-conditioning, DStv, sliding doors opening up to a patio and kitchenettes. Each villa has its own patio and access to the shared villa pool.
Recently we added 2 x Pool suites and a Garden junior suite to our accommodation.
The bar and restaurant offers the best vantage point over the uninterrupted mountain and Franschhoek valley views, and is ideal for sundowners pre-drinks.

Cloud 9 - 2 bedroom villa

As the only villa on the property that has 2 ensuite bedrooms, it does not fit the description of Deluxe villa, so we named it Cloud 9. A uniquely designed villa that has a central lounge/kitchen between the bedrooms, floor to ceiling glass sliding doors opening up to a spacious deck from all indoor spaces for al-fresco dining. The mini bar is stocked on arrival with Clouds Wine, soft drinks, juice, beers, and snacks
The bedrooms have king-size beds with picture-perfect views of the Simonsberg & Drakenstein mountains. Each bedroom, as well as the lounge, has a smart TV, both bedrooms you will find fluffy gowns, complimentary flips flops, and a laptop-size safe. It has a fully equipped kitchen including a mini bar fridge, stovetop, and oven, microwave, Nespresso maker, kettle, crockery, cutlery, and glassware.
The spacious bathrooms both have baths and a separate double shower. Double basins and heated towel rails are here for your comfort and convenience. Amenities from Moooi and Charlotte Rhys complete the picture.

This 1-bedroom villa has a king bedded room, bathroom, and a large kitchen/lounge/dining area with sliding doors opening onto a private patio. It offers free WiFi, a flat-screen satellite TV, DVD player, Nespresso machine, kettle, and fridge. All villas are also equipped with hairdryers, laptop safes.
Guests occupying the Villa's have access to a beautiful shared pool that overlooks our gorgeous panoramic views.
The Villa has a sleeper couch in the lounge for 2 extra guests between the ages of 12 and 17 at an additional fee of R950.00 per night on request.

This Junior Garden suite is a spacious king bedded room overlooking Simonsberg Mountain and has a comfortable seating area as well as a private deck and garden for relaxation. A large, modern bathroom has a bath and separate shower. Underfloor heating in the bathroom, fluffy gowns, Wi-Fi, stocked (on arrival) mini bar, Nespresso machine, fresh fruit and snacks, as well as DStv and streaming services are part of the suite's amenities.
The suite shares the villa pool that overlooks the Simonsberg Mountain.

This is our only Standard hotel room with a partial mountain view. Open the ceiling to floor sliding doors and step onto your spacious balcony. Balcony seating and a small table is provided.
