Overzicht
Dwarsrivier Country Getaway is 13km through Herbertsdale on the R327 road to Van Wyksdorp (Gravel Road). Set on a macadamia nut farm in the scenic area of the Cloete' s Mountain pass, a very popular route for mountain bikers, motorcyclists and hikers.
Guests can wonder through the macadamia nut plantation or take a leisurely walk in the mountains around the farm where the veld is covered in a large variety of fauna and flora.
The fully equipped self-catering cottages are set in a tranquil garden of fruit and nut trees with braai facilities. We also have a country style pub with an indoor braai.
Guests can enjoy the swimming pool with under cover braai area, surrounded by natural rocks or just relax in the garden and enjoy the abundant birdlife (over 40 different species sited to date).
Breakfast and dinner are available on request. Pets welcome by prior arrangements.
Bunbury Cottage has a Main Room with 1 double bed, second bedroom with 2 single beds and a bunk bed in the open plan area. The cottage is equipped with mini stove/oven, fridge / freezer and microwave, shower, toilet, hand-basin.
Puckety Place (Rondawel) has 1 double bed and is equipped with a 2-plate stove with an oven, bar fridge and microwave.
Mouse House (Rondawel) has 1 double bed. The Cottage is equipped with a 2-plate stove with oven, microwave, bar fridge
Ablution block with showers, toilet, bath and washing machine
The Hovel has Main room en - suite with 1 queen bed and in the open plan area is a bunk bed. The cottage is equipped with mini stove/oven, bar fridge and microwave, shower, toilet, hand-basin.
All cottages are fully equipped with linen and towels
Extra freezer facilities available in pub area.
Camping facilities with ablution, No electricity in camping area.
