About Element Riders Backpacker Hostel!
Element Riders Place in Lüderitz Namibia is the affordable accommodation choice for the adventure traveler, the backpacker, the visitor and tourist on a budget.We offer self-catering accommodation for groups or families, single, double or group rooms, dormitory; all to suit your budget and requirements.
We offer four rooms with shared bathroom facilities and three rooms with each an en-suite shower and toilet. A fully equipped kitchen and mobile braai/barbeque is available. We have a lounge with book-exchange and one with TV (full DSTV).
We provide simple, yet comfortable and cleanly facilities and a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Daily housekeeping, free parking and free Wi-Fi is of course included. Please note that the lounges, the kitchen, the dining area and the bathrooms (for the rooms that don't have bathrooms en-suite) are upstairs!
The backpackers is situated in the heart of the town but in a quite side road. Supermarkets, shops, tourist information, restaurants, banks, coffee shops and famous landmarks are easy reachable. Lüderitz itself is a interesting little town and the perfect place to relax. It is in the "middle of nowhere", 125 km away from the next village. It's surrounding is a very rough and unique landscape, lonely beaches with tough flora and wildlife. Enjoy a trip to the beautiful beaches, lagoons and fjords in your car and stand the famous strong Lüderitz' wind, take a stroll through town and visit different landmarks such as the Felsenkirche (church on a rock). Also a visit to the ghost town of Kolmanskop, a dolphin and penguin boat tour or a visit to Elizabeth Bay are great and unforgettable things to do in Luderitz!
Before travelling to Lüderitz, pause for a moment to study the country map and how the town is sandwiched between the barren Namib Desert and the windswept South Atlantic coast. As if Lüderitz’ unique geographical setting wasn’t impressive enough, its surreal German art nouveau architecture will seal the deal. A colonial relic scarcely touched by the 21st century, Lüderitz recalls a Bavarian dorfchen (small village), with churches, bakeries and cafes. Lüderitz feels stuck in a time warp, a perception that delivers both gloom and a certain charm. In short, it’s one of the most incongruous places in Africa. lonely planet
Please note the following important information: Although we try our best to keep everything clean, if the wind blows (as it does a lot in Luderitz) there will be dust, there will be some sand in the windows and all kinds of things blowing through the yards. Our establishment is NOT a hotel; there is no reception desk, no pottier to carry your bags, but Virgina and her team will give their best to make you feel home. Please note: They also help the guests at the Guesthouse, and due to this they are not always on-site but always reachable.

Dorm rooms are the best option for travellers on a budget and to meet other interesting people from all over the world! Our dorm has 7 nice beds, the bathroom is not attached to the room.

Our medium sized bedrooms are perfect if you travel on a budget but prefer to have a private room. The rooms can be used as single room, double room or three guests sharing. The room is private, but the bathrooms are shared with other guests. You can choose between a double or single beds.

Our medium rooms with own bathroom are perfect for a budget traveler who prefers to have a bit more privacy by having an own little bathroom with shower and toilet. The room is simple but has a good bed and is perfect to spend some time in Luderitz. You can chose between single beds or a double bed.

The small room is tiny but cosy and perfect for traveling on a budget but with the wish for a bit of privacy. The bathroom is not attached (shared) but the room will be exclusively for you. You can chose between a single bed or a double bed. Not a lot of space but lots of privacy!

Where pricing is “per unit” the Average Price Per Person based on maximum occupancy is used for the price range comparison. It's definitely a hostel in its truest sense.
The staff were friendly and helpful, the basics were accommodated for, however, overall low-cost but not up to par with the money it costs.
