Just 5 km from the Vioolsdrift/Noordoewer border post on the South African side, Frontier River Resort offers 13 glamping-style tented chalets, perfect for accommodated tour groups.
Our tents feature comfortable beds with quality linen, a mini fridge, coffee station, and seating for both indoor and outdoor relaxation. Each chalet is equipped with air-conditioning and fans, with main lights and fans powered by solar energy. All chalets have en suite bathrooms with a shower, basin, and toilet.
We offer 11 chalets accommodating up to 2 persons each, and 2 family chalets that can host up to 4 persons each. Our farmhouse kitchen prepares delicious, hearty meals with locally sourced ingredients to ensure every guest is well-fed and satisfied.
For tours with self-catering needs, our boma kitchen is fully equipped with a built-in braai, electric stove, microwave, kettle, toaster, pots and pans, and washing-up facilities.
Guests seeking adventure can enjoy river rafting trips arranged through our trusted partner, Bushwacked Adventures.

This chalet features a double bed and two single beds, along with an en-suite bathroom fitted with a spacious shower, basin, and toilet. It is air-conditioned and equipped with a fridge, kettle, tea and coffee facilities, as well as crockery and cutlery for your convenience. The unit also includes a small private braai area, perfect for relaxed outdoor meals.

You’ll be staying in a free-standing safari tent with its own en-suite bathroom, offering both comfort and privacy. Each room is equipped with air-conditioning, a tea and coffee station, and a small bar fridge for your convenience.
Dinners need to be pre-arranged in advance, and please note that this is not a self-catering unit.
