Overview
Fynbos Estate, home to Dragonridge Wines, is situated in the beautiful Paardeberg, high up in Joubertskloof and just an hour from Cape Town. It offers comfortable spacious country accommodation with stunning views of the Swartland, vineyards and the mountain nature reserve.
The farm accommodation caters for couples, families, family reunions, groups of friends, wedding and celebration guests and workshops and retreats. Accommodation includes an original Farm House, Honey Badger House, Caracal Cottage, Black Eagle House and Owl Cottage, and in total the estate can accommodate 45 people sharing.
There are plenty of outdoor activities, including walks in the nature reserve, bird watching, mountain cycling, swimming in the pool at the foot of mountain and chilling on the many verandas. Lawns, open spaces, a jungle gym and the possibility to pet rescue animals, make it a haven for children. Accommodation is pet friendly in selected houses.
While accommodation is set up to be self-catering, we offer delicious country meals for groups of 10 people or more. Wine tastings of our naturally made wine (in the traditional style of 1900’s) is available with our winemaker by appointment.
There is cell phone reception in or near to each building, a television with DVD in the farmhouse only and a screen for video/ DVD in Honey Badger. Wi-Fi connectivity with free unlimited internet access is available in all accommodation, workshop and function areas.

Situated further up the valley from Honey Badger and Caracal, Black Eagle is a modern barn-style house ideal for 4 couples/families or for workshops of up to 10 participants. There are 4 en suite bedrooms and a large double volume living area with verandas on all sides. There are beautiful views in every direction.

This living space can take a child in a single bed.
Verandas both sides. North facing front garden fenced with veldspan style fencing.
Maximum of 3 people only if cottage used as TWO BEDROOMS for example workshops or weddings.

This cottage is ideal for nature lovers craving solitude. Located in the nature reserve 1km from the main farmstead. Entirely off the grid, hot and cold water, lights, 2 plate gas stove, small gas fridge, (no microwave or oven) free uncapped wifi. Inverter to charge phones - no plug in for facilities for hairdryer, irons, toasters. Bedroom 1 double bed, Bedroom 2 - Singles beds x2. 1 bathroom with shower, open plan living room and kitchen. Verandah on 3 sides, outdoor braai, beautiful mountain and valley views. Pet friendly but not enclosed.

The Cape Dutch-Victorian farmhouse (circa 1900), has spacious rooms, a deep wrap-around veranda and original Oregon features. It has a large lounge, dining room, and farm kitchen, as well as an extensive domestic library and a television lounge. Smart Television.
