Overview
We have two self-catering apartments, each with a double bedroom and one with twin beds.
Barbet Suite has 2 bathrooms with shower (both en-suite), a well-equipped kitchenette with gas hob, fridge/freezer, microwave, etc, and a small lounge / dining area. There is a satellite TV. There is a large braai area and a courtyard setting.
Fisheagle Wing has one bathroom with shower, a large living and dining room with a fireplace, and a full kitchen with gas stove, fridge/freezer, microwave, etc. There is a TV with access to streaming (Netflix, Amazon Prime). Fisheagle has a small, fenced garden and private braai.
Facilities on site include a games room with pool table, soccer game, darts, etc. There is a small gym, and a swimming pool. A thatch lapa with a lovely view of neighbouring Mount Carmel is reached after a short walk through our fields and makes the ideal place for a Sundowner.
Hawkshead is only 70kms away from the Kruger National Park as well as the attractions of the scenic Lowveld Escarpment. It is also convenient as a stopover on the way to Mozambique and there is plenty of room for boat- and other trailers.

The Studio

Open plan living/kitchen area. Kitchen has fridge-freezer, gas hob, microwave, air fryer. TV with Netflix, Amazon Prime, YouTube. Main bedroom with double bed and shower en-suite. Mezzanine floor with double futon and single bed, toilet and wash basin.

Where pricing is “per unit” the Average Price Per Person based on maximum occupancy is used for the price range comparison. A search made for Homes and Villas however will always be based on the full daily rate of the unit irrespective of the number of people the unit sleeps.

The facilities are good and the host was very friendly. Only negative point is the location - it's right next to the N4 highway so it's very noisy day and night.
