Honeyguide Conservation Lodge offers luxury full-board accommodation in the exclusive Entabeni Game Reserve, in Limpopo. The lodge boasts stunning views of the Wetlands, vast open plains and the alluring Hanglip Mountains, where game viewing opportunities are plenty. Known as the "Place of the Mountain", Entabeni Game Reserve is located in the spectacular World Heritage Waterberg Biosphere. This 22,000-hectare African Big Five game reserve in Limpopo is a completely malaria-free safari destination and boasts five eco-systems. Only three hours north of Johannesburg, this malaria-free area, set within the most beautiful mountain scenery offered by the ever-present Waterberg, is now a major attraction to visitors and locals alike, particularly locals from Gauteng, for whom getting away to the Waterberg to see the game, without the added hindrance of anti-malaria medication, is something of a bonus. Hundreds of years ago this area was home to a rich variety of wild animals like giraffe, lion, hyena, buffalo and elephant that due to both farmers and hunters were fast depleted. Now, due to a concerted effort to reverse the loss of animals for whom this is their natural home, large areas in the Waterberg biosphere have been restocked.
