This unique property is only accessible via a short river crossing and includes kayaks and SUPs for our guests to explore the river. The majestic Kaaimans Waterfall is a gentle 15-minute paddle from the house. This spot is ideal for outdoor & nature enthusiasts, and those seeking a touch of adventure The lodge consists of 3 separate accommodations, each with breathtaking views, spacious outdoor areas, and well-equipped private facilities. Deck House: The Kaaimans Deckhouse (aka Main House) is the largest of three accommodations at the Kaaimans River Lodge. This double-storey consists of 6 bedrooms, spacious outdoor areas, epic outdoor facilities, and massive decks with panoramic views of the Kaaimans River. It's the ultimate option for any group that enjoys nature, the outdoors, and a bit of adventure! Rustic Views: This unique rustic yet comfy cottage consists of 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom. The unit boasts an outdoor kitchenette area with basic gas appliances, a sitting area with a BBQ & firepit, and a top deck with arguably one of the best views of the Kaaimans River valley. River Villa: The River Villa offers a unique and romantic getaway experience and consists of 1 loft-style bedroom and 1 bathroom. Enjoy a spacious outside area with epic features such as an outdoor lounge, stone bar, outdoor shower, firepit/boma & a deck offering the most awe-inspiring, unobstructed view of the Kaaimans River. Kaaimans River Lodge is situated approximately 20 minutes drive from the town of George, and 20.5 km from George Airport.

Kaaimans River Lodge is situated on the banks of the Kaaimans River near Wilderness. Wilderness is a sought-after holiday destination along the Western Cape’s magnificent Garden Route. The quiet coastal village of Wilderness lies between the Kaaimans River and the Goukama Nature Reserve, and is bordered by the towering Outeniqua Mountains. Extensive waterways, pristine beaches, and lush indigenous forests make it a nature lover’s paradise. Watersports enthusiasts flock to the ocean, rivers, lakes, and lagoons. Wilderness not only overlooks the ocean, but also the calm lagoon (Touw River Estuary), which is a favoured location for water skiing, boating, fishing, and other water sports. Bird watchers are attracted by the abundant birdlife. The Wetlands are home to over 200 species of bird, including the Fish Eagle, Nightjar, and Southern Boubou. Other adventure activities include mountain biking, quad biking, hang gliding, paragliding, abseiling, bungee jumping, and diving.
