Overview
Kamberg Valley Hideaway is located in a uniquely scenic and tranquil part of the Drakensberg Mountains in South Africa. We are surrounded by Nature Reserves, with Highmoor Nature Reserve 8kms away, Kamberg Nature Reserve 11kms away and Giants Castle, 31kms away. If you have a passion for walking/hiking, fishing, birding or photography then this is an area you must visit.
Our accommodation is self-catering in comfortable, spacious and tranquil cottages. We only accommodate a small number of guests, so you have plenty of privacy and are welcome to explore our 27 hectare small holding.
There is a beautiful River Walk along the Little Mooi River that is the perfect place to spend a few hours relaxing, reading a book and just enjoying nature.
We also offer photography courses, so if you are a keen photographer please let us know before you arrive and we can tailor-make a photography course or single workshop for you, depending on your desires and experience.

Forest Cottage

Forest Cottage is a new 3-bedroom self catering cottage that is totally separate from the main house and Mountain View Cottage
The cottage contains 3 bedrooms and two bathrooms. The master bedroom has a large and spacious ensuite bathroom which includes a separate shower and oval bath, so you can totally relax during your stay at Kamberg Valley Hideaway.
The other two bedrooms share a bathroom with large shower. All rooms can either be made up with a king size bed or two single beds. All linen and towels are provided, as are electric blankets for those colder, winter nights.
The kitchen is fully equipped with an electric oven, gas stove, microwave, fridge/freezer and dishwasher. All cutlery and crockery are also provided.
The kitchen opens in to an open plan living area with a fabulous freestanding log fireplace and sliding doors that open on to a private patio and braai area. The patio also provides spectacular views of the dam and the mountain behind.

Mountain View Cottage

Mountain View Cottage is rented as either a one-bedroom or a two-bedroom cottage. It adjoins the Main House, but there is a private entrance and private outside patio / braai area (with braai/BBQ provided). You will only see or hear the owners who live in the Main House if you want to!
The bedrooms are spacious and comfortable and can be made up with either a King bed, or two single beds. There is one large bathroom in the cottage, which has a large separate shower and well lit mirror. A hair-dryer is also provided.
All linen and towels are provided and if you visit during the cooler winter months, electric blankets are provided for all beds.
The kitchen / living room is open plan and has a dining table and four chairs, a log fire and double doors that open on to a private patio with spectacular views of the mountains. The kitchen is fully equipped with electric oven and hob, fridge/freezer and all crockery and cutlery.

NOTE: If a search was made without stipulating the month of occupation the rate shown on the search results page is for the lowest cost month and the least expensive room. Where pricing is “per unit” the Average Price Per Person based on maximum occupancy is used for the price range comparison. A search made for Homes and Villas however will always be based on the full daily rate of the unit irrespective of the number of people the unit sleeps.
