Houseboat Myrtle is a totally self-contained cottage on the water. Anchored in the Knysna Lagoon, it's a two minute dinghy ride from the Knysna Waterfront - and we'll give you lessons to get you roaring on the water.
Myrtle is one of the original Knysna houseboats and has a lovely wood finish, both inside and out. With its two decks, it's perfect for lazy days floating on the lagoon. From the deck you can enjoy views of the lagoon, the quays and the Knysna Heads. The decks are also perfect for relaxed sundowners, and if you're up early you'll find the sunrise tranquil.
The houseboat sleeps four, with two double beds. The private main bedroom has its own deck. The boat has a kitchen nook with a stove and fridge, a hot shower and toilet. If you're not keen on staying in, the restaurants at the Waterfront are easily accessible. Late nights are best spent around the fireplace inside.
On a hot summer day, the best way to cool down is with a dip in the lagoon. The boat is also a great fishing spot and you can grill your catch to perfection on the braai on deck.

Beautiful private double bed room with it's own deck, dark blinds & wooden finish with excellent views.
The second double bed for extra guests, is situated in the living room area, it is not a private room, it is ideal for two children or for adults, if it's for a short stay. What is lovely, is it has a fireplace, which makes this room very cozy. It costs R200 per person, or R150 per child under 12 years.

Where pricing is “per unit” the Average Price Per Person based on maximum occupancy is used for the price range comparison.
