Overview
Lagoon House on the Island in Sedgefield offers attractive, family orientated, pet friendly and safe self-catering accommodation for up to six people in a prime location overlooking Swartvlei Estuary in the Garden Route. Easily accessed from the N2, the house is set in a fenced garden of its own, with carport parking for a vehicle.
The fully equipped house has three bedrooms. The master bedroom with a view onto the lagoon has a queen sized bed and has an en suite bathroom (bath), while the second and third bedrooms have twin single beds each, and have access to a bathroom(shower). The open plan comfortable lounge has seating for 6/8, a TV (but essential to bring your own decoder), separate dining room table and a kitchenette with a stove top, oven, microwave, fridge with separate small freezer and all necessary crockery, cutlery and utensils to ensure a comfortable stay.
The large entertainment patio, plunge pool and braai area overlook the stunning and tranquil lagoon with the vegetated dunes of a nature reserve as a backdrop. The estuary is just metres away across a gravel road and attracts outdoor enthusiasts; a popular lagoon swimming area is about 300 metre walk from the house. The Island is a quiet residential area where birds and tortoises are often found in the Gardens and natural areas and it is also ideal for walking or cycling and is largely flat. The Village supports a very active cycling walking and running fraternity. The famous Wild Oats Market open every Saturday is close by.
