Overview
Situated in the Elandskloof Valley just 19 kilometers from the village of Dullstroom, San - Solina Cabin is a luxury cottage on the farm of Lake Heron Estate. It is ideally suited for the keen fisherman or just a quiet, romantic weekend away. There are 2 dams available for fishing of which both are catch and release only. The dams are all within walking distance of the cottage. The largest dam is situated 600m from the cottage and should not take you more than 5 minutes to walk to. The dams range between 1.9 hectares to 3 hectares in size.
The bedroom has a king size bed, fireplace and television. There is an electric blanket, hot water bottles and an extra heater for those chilly evenings. There is a portable fan for the warmer days. A hairdryer is available. The bedroom opens out onto a large patio area over looking Maragajeep dam and the sunrise.
There is a separate bathroom with a Victorian bath and shower. There is a heated towel rail and overhead heater.
The kitchen and lounge area is open plan with a fireplace. There is dining table for 4 people as well as DSTV, DVD and a CD player. The kitchen is fully equipped with a fridge/freezer, stove, microwave and coffee machine. There is a small selection of DVD’s and books for your enjoyment.
The patio area extends around the cottage and overlooks the dams.
Catch and release only in our well stocked trophy dams. These waters are suited for the experienced fisherman. A third dam, Maragajeep, which is situated closest to the cottage is currently under repair will be available later in the year.
This unit is not serviced during your stay as to ensure that you are not disturbed at any stage. PLEASE NOTE THAT THE COTTAGE IS IN CLOSE PROXIMATEY TO THE MAIN HOUSE AND OLD FARM BUILDINGS BUT YOU WILL NOT BE DISTURBED AT ANY STAGE. The old farm buildings are being renovated and will shortly be converted into further cottages.

There are two bedrooms (main only with a jet master fireplace & doors opening out onto a private garden area have King-size beds which singles can be requested & have under heater blankets. An additional double - bunk bed in the shared area

Where pricing is “per unit” the Average Price Per Person based on maximum occupancy is used for the price range comparison. A search made for Homes and Villas however will always be based on the full daily rate of the unit irrespective of the number of people the unit sleeps.
